Interactive Linear Algebra Text (ILAT) is an attempt to address issues
pertaining to incorporating technology in the
teaching of mathematics. Students using this text learn the concepts of linear algebra and their
applications in an
interactive environment characterized by experimentation, exploration
and discovery
learning. Students play a fundamental and a very active role throughout
the learning
process.
ILAT consists of six units. Each unit of the text includes Interactive Computer Lessons, Supervised Labs, Applications/Projects, Automated Functions,
Tests,
and Theory. These components are connected by a Graphical User
Interface (GUI).
This is designed to allow the user to navigate smoothly through the
various components
of the text.
